*New* Breastfeeding Success Bundle

Breastfeeding is a learned skill, and it can be challenging. The truth is, most parents don't meet their breastfeeding goals, but it doesn't have to be that way. What happens prenatally and during the first week of baby's life can make the difference between smooth sailing, or a compounding series of challenges. This bundle is designed to take the worry out of the crucial first week of breastfeeding by combining prenatal education, early and consistent feeding support, and postpartum care, all tied up with one neat little bow. By design, this package is significantly less of a financial commitment than typical postpartum doula packages. The idea is that families can pay one reasonable flat fee for comprehensive, proactive early support to get feeding off to a solid start in the crucial first week. Plus, it can be covered in part by benefits like Carrot, makes a great gift from grandparents, or you can ask for contributions for your baby shower.

What you get

  • Prenatal breastfeeding preparation- In-home, personalized class focused on what you need to know in the first days. Latch, establishing milk supply, how to know if your baby is getting enough, and what to do if something isn't going right.

  • Breastfeeding resource packet- This is a continuation of your prenatal education and includes steps to take to further your learning and prepare for the hospital, plus a breastfeeding log, troubleshooting guide, and postpartum resource directory.

  • Breastfeeding gift basket- This has all the supplies you might need in the first week to care for your lactating breasts and tools to protect your milk supply if your baby isn't able to latch immediately after birth.

  • One to two hospital lactation visits- I work with you in the hospital to complement the care you are receiving from your nurses and hospital-based IBCLC, who may be limited in the amount of time they can spend helping you learn to breastfeed. These are low-pressure, slow-paced visits, up to two hours long with a focus on helping you learn to latch your baby independently.

  • Three nights of overnight postpartum care- These overnights happen during your first week home. Breastfeeding success is much more likely when birthing parents are cared for during the most acute period of recovery. Get a little extra rest knowing your baby is in the best hands while you sleep, streamline night time feeds, and wake up to a tidy nursery, folded laundry, clean feeding supplies, and a nourishing breakfast.

  • 24/7 text support- Small problems in the first week of breastfeeding can compound very quickly. You should not be waiting days to get your questions answered. From the time we book, I'm available by text, and you are assured a response within 24 hours (ususally less) once your baby is born.

  • Two remote check ins- During your second week home, we meet twice to make sure that things continue to go smoothly, and talk through changes that may be happening.

  • Discounted rate on additional doula support- Up to 16 hours of additional day or overnight doula care to be used at any point during the first 12 weeks postpartum if desired.

This is absolutely unmatched breastfeeding support!

Fee: $3000

Fee may be paid in full at time of booking or in monthly installments.
